Raised on a university campus by his parents, both educators, he was immersed in a world of learning and service from a young age. Inspired by the altruism of his parents and fueled by a desire to make a meaningful impact, Dr. Agbakwuru's path naturally led him to medicine. Witnessing the dedication of his father, a pharmacist and lecturer, and his mother, a teacher, instilled in him a deep-rooted commitment to helping others on a grand scale.

Dr. Agbakwuru's career trajectory took shape through his experiences in Nigeria's NGO sector, where he tackled prevalent diseases such as malaria, HIV, and AIDS and maternal and child health initiatives. His expertise in conducting surveys caught the attention of the University of Maryland's Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation (MGIC), leading to pivotal roles in national-level initiatives like Nigeria's HIV/ AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS). This journey ultimately brought him to Ciheb Global in Baltimore.
