The Integrated Networks of Scholars in Global Health Research Training (INSIGHT) consortium is a collaboration between the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Maryland Baltimore, and the University of Pittsburgh. It provides early-career scientists with mentored research training in global health at established biomedical and behavioral research sites across more than 25 institutions in 20 countries, including Belize, Botswana, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
INSIGHT supports research in HIV, infectious diseases (malaria, TB, HPV, HCV/HBV, SARS-CoV-2), non-communicable diseases (cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, cancers), and mental health. The consortium fosters collaboration, funds promising research projects, and advances innovative solutions to global health challenges.
